Ilaiyaraja to receive an award from the Kerala Government
Fresh from getting a superb response to the songs of Thaara Thappatai, the news has just come in that Ilaiyaraja will be felicitated with the prestigious Kerala Government’s Nishagandhi Puraskaram award. He will be receiving the award on the 20th of January, alongside the release of the Bala film, which happens to be his 1000th outing.
The maestro has now started to work on the background score of Thaara Thappatai as it nears its Pongal release date. Fans and film buffs alike are eagerly looking forward to his simple yet magical music for this special film.
