The fascinating things with the HIT franchise have always been the cases which have not been easy to crack, and they have always managed to keep the viewers interested with the twists and turns they have presented so far. In the same way, we get a pretty interesting premise this time as well, with the addition of brutal violence which is the new addition to the franchise in this film.
HIT 3 has a good first half where the plot and characters are set in motion, with Nani introduced as a cop who does not bend at anything, but is still suffering from his problems with relation to the mid-life crisis issues and other things that surround him. The episodes in the first half do not rush ahead, and they have some impactful reveals in them as well. In the second half, the film moves entirely into the action packed episodes, with a lot of brutality and bloodshed in them, something new to both Nani and Telugu films on the whole. The film meets good events in this portion of the film, and though some of it does feel overdone, it keeps the ball rolling. Action fans will find a lot to enjoy in the final 30 minute stretch of the film, which is packed with non stop fights.
Nani has done incredibly well again and is the lifeline of the film throughout. Working on his look, dialogue delivery and fluency in action sequences, he has truly uplifted the film by his presence. The film also benefits from the presence of Srinidhi Shetty who is superb, and also has many other good female characters offering good stuff. The villain’s side is half baked, and that could have been attended to even better.
HIT 3 boasts of really good technicalities, and works out well on that front. Mickey J Meyer’s music is a worthy addition, and the film also picks up pace due to its flashy editing and good cinematography.
On the whole, HIT3 is a very good watch for action lovers and will interest fans of the genres. For the others, it will be subjective to how much action they can digest in the film.
