“Gnanavel Raja respects his directors very much,” says Katteri director Deekay

Director Deekay of Yaamiruka Bayamey and Kavalai Vendam has heaped praise on producer Gnanavel Raja who is bankrolling Katteri. The film stars Vaibhav, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sonam Bajwa, Aathmika and Manali Rathore in the lead roles.

“Kavalai Vendam didn’t do well mainly because of the low-key publicity by the producer. Even my friends didn’t know that a film like that was releasing. Now, I’m in safe hands. Gnanavel Raja is a rare producer who respects his directors very much,” says Deekay who is currently busy with the post-production of Katteri. 

The team wrapped up the shooting of the project last week. Deekay also revealed that they couldn’t sign Oviya since she was demanding a higher pay than what she initially accepted.
