Echarikkai TN theatrical rights acquired by Clapboard Productions
The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Echarikkai have been acquired by Clapboard Productions’ Sathyamurthi.
Director Sarjun, who shot to fame with the rave reviews for his short films Lakshmi and Maa, has spilled the beans on Echarikkai which is billed as a taut crime thriller.
“Echarikkai will not just be a crime thriller. It will also showcase human emotions in a proper manner. A retired policeman who can never go out in the sun sets out to investigate a crime case. The events in the film happen in a single day from morning 6 AM to evening 6 PM. We have used sound as an important story-telling element,” says Sarjun.
Starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Kishore, and Sathyaraj in the lead roles, Echarikkai will release on August 24th.
