When Dhanush walked the extra mile to surprise his friend

We earlier reported here that Dhanush was spotted on the sets of Madhavan’s upcoming film Tanu Weds Manu 2 directed by Anand L Rai of Raanjhanaa fame. It was also said that Dhanush might have shot his cameo performance for the film. Now, it’s revealed by the film’s writer Himanshu Sharma that Dhanush did not come to Delhi to shoot for the cameo but only to surprise his friend Anand. “A few days ago, Dhanush called me and informed me that he was in Goa and would like to come to Delhi to surprise Anand. So, I was the one who picked him up at the airport and took him to the hotel at a time when Anand had gone out,” says Himanshu.

“There is plenty of time to decide whether or not Dhanush will play a cameo in the film. All I can say is that this recent visit to Delhi did not involve him shooting a cameo appearance,” adds Himanshu. The film, which stars Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut as leads, is slated for release in June 2015.
