Chekka Chivantha Vaanam tops TN box-office with a great opening weekend
Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has topped the Tamil Nadu box-office with a fantastic opening weekend. Early estimates suggest that the film produced by Lyca Productions has crossed the Rs 30 Cr mark in the state from the four-day opening weekend.
By the end of the first week, the movie is expected to touch the Rs 50 Cr mark considering tomorrow is a holiday (Gandhi Jayanti). The movie’s Sunday collections are greater than the opening day (Thursday, September 27th).
In the US, the film has already grossed $710K and is inching towards the million dollar mark.
