Bharathiraja to play the villain in STR’s Maanaadu?

Veteran filmmaker and actor Bharathiraja has been signed to play a key role in STR’s political film Maanaadu, which will be directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film, which marks the first-time collaboration between Venkat Prabhu and STR, is currently in the pre-production phase.

However, Bharathiraja is expected to play the villain role as reported by a section of media. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, STR underwent martial arts training for the film, which will start rolling soon. Kalyani Priyadarshan, who is making a foray into K’town with Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero helmed by PS Mithran, plays the lead heroine in the movie.
