Baahubali rights snapped for 27 crores?

We earlier reported here that Studio Green, along with UV Creations, has acquired the distribution rights for the film for a whopping sum. Now, trade sources reveal that the theatrical rights in Tamil have been sold for a massive sum of 27 crores, highest for any bi-lingual. Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali is a two-part bi-lingual made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. The talkies portions have been wrapped up and the first part is slated for release in April.

I watched 45 minutes of the film and was convinced the movie would be a super duper hit in Tamil Nadu and is a worthwhile investment, says Gnanavelraja of Studio Green.
