AR Rahman: “Creativity in music technology allows greater accessibility to music for all”

KM Music Conservatory (KMMC), A.R. Rahman’s premier music education institute, has launched its own curator channel on Apple Music. The curator channel will allow KMMC’s diverse musical experience to be shared globally through Apple Music.

The playlist presents some of the high points from the alumni of the institution. With music from singers like Nikhita Gandhi and Shashwat Singh and composers like Vishal Chandrasekhar and S. Ved Shankar — this playlist is the “KM Hall of Fame”. Other playlists will include a dynamic selection by the renowned faculty of the institution, and one by the current student body, offering two contrasting views of the evolving musical landscape. A collection from ‘The Principal’s Office’ will bring together new and old favorites composed by the musical legend A.R. Rahman himself.

Speaking on the KMMC curator channel, A.R. Rahman, Founder and Principal said, “The continuing developments in music technology and creativity allow greater accessibility to music for all. This new curator channel from my school, KM Music Conservatory, on Apple Music, provides an exciting conduit for us to engage with more people and bring our musical message to the world.
