Amala Paul in talks for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan

Amala Paul has been approached to play an important role in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. Lyca Productions is believed to opted out of the mega budget project and Ratnam is currently in talks with Jio Studios.

Chiyaan Vikram, Nayanthara, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Keerthy Suresh and Aishwarya Rai form the ensemble cast of the film, which will have music composed by AR Rahman. The film is expected to kickstart towards the end of the year.
