After Varalaru, Kanika makes a comeback in Mani Ratnam’s next!

Kanika, who was last seen in Ajith’s Varalaru directed by KS Ravikumar, is making a comeback in Mani Ratnam’s next untitled flick starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in lead roles. However, Kanika will not play any supporting role in the film but only a cameo appearance. Interestingly, Kanika made her debut in Tamil in Susi Ganesan’s Five Star produced by Mani Ratnma’s Madras Talkies. The film is touted to be a breezy urban romantic story on the lines of Mani’s Alaipayuthey and marks the comeback of PC Sreeram in a Mani Ratnam film after 14 long years.

“I’ve had the privilege of being introduced by Madras Talkies (director Mani Ratnam’s production house) in 2003. After 11 long years, I finally got to be part of his directorial project by doing a cameo appearance for his upcoming film. I feel elated and wish the team the best,” posted Kanika on her official social media page.
