Aal, first Tamil film to be shot at India-China border!

Produced by JSK Corporation and directed by Anand Krishnan, Aal features Viddharth of Mynaa fame in the lead role. It is a remake of critically-acclaimed Hindi film Aamir and talks about how Muslims are stereotyped as terrorists after every bomb blast. The film has been shot in some of Chennai’s busiest locations and the makers claim that Aal is the first film to be shot at Indo-China border, at Sikkim.

“Some important portion of the film was shot at the Indo-China border in Sikkim. No other Tamil film has ever been shot here. We’ve also shot in some of the busiest and most crowded places in Chennai such as Parry Corner, Mount Road and Elephant Gate area. It’s almost impossible to shoot in these areas but we somehow managed to pull it off,” reads an official statement. Cheran’s new-launched C2H network has acquired rights for this psychological thriller and will release it.
