140 days of shoot planned for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan
Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan is currently progressing Thailand, with shoot beginning daily at 3AM. The film’s two main leads in Karthi and Jayam Ravi are seemingly being asked to be ready in the early hours of the day as Mani Ratnam wishes to can his shots under the sunrise setting.
A total of 140 days of shoot has been planned for the film, with date sheets arranged to accommodate all the artists’ schedules in tandem. The current schedule of the film will go on until the first week of February.
Ponniyin Selvan has Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Trisha and others in the lead roles. The film has music composed by AR Rahman.
