AM Ratnam confirms Thala 56 for Diwali

Producer AM Ratnam has confirmed that Thala 56 will hit screens for Diwali this year. The first schedule of the film has been completed and the second schedule will begin from the first week of June. The film is said to be an out and out commercial entertainer.

The film has a new genre in addition to the brother-sister sentiment that we usually see on screen, avers AM Ratnam. Lakshmi Menon plays Ajith’s sister in the film. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead and Bollywood actor Kabir Singh plays the antagonist role.
