Will Master hit theatres for Pongal 2021?

Thalapathy Vijay’s Master was the most awaited film of 2020, before the coronavirus pandemic came in and spoiled all the plans. Master was in talks for an OTT release, but it looks like that too is out of the picture. As the makers were questioned on whether the film would hit the screens for Diwali, they ruled out the option quoting the 50% occupancy rule and the unavailability of a clear situation in the overseas centres.

As of now, the team is looking at the good news with respect to the death of the coronavirus and the availability of the vaccine worldwide, after which they will take a call on the release. If things settle down by January, we could see Master hitting screens for Pongal. Or else, it is likely to stick to its first mentioned release date window of April, but in 2021.
