Vishal calls off the indefinite Kollywood strike!

Vishal, president of the Tamil Film Producers Council and secretary of Nadigar Sangam, has called off the indefinite strike which he had earlier announced. After discussing with the TFPC members, Vishal spoke to media last night announcing the withdrawal of the shutdown.

Sources say the lack of unity among exhibitors and a seemingly growing rift among Tamil film producers led to this decision of TFPC. Before the uniform 22% GST announcement, Vishal, and his team submitted a letter to both central and state governments requesting for status quo with the entertainment tax exemption rule in Tamil Nadu.
