Vijay Sethupathi opens up about directing films

Vijay Sethupathi, who is currently busy filming for Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi, opens up about wielding the megaphone. “Direction is a tough job. Writing dialogues for Orange Mittai occured naturally. It happened mainly because the director wished to write. Direction involves more commitment. I need to learn more,” says Vijay Sethupathi.

“I’m not sure if I will take up direction. Whenever I do something new, I used to ask myself ‘Can I do this?’. I do this even before acting in a film. Before signing a film too. I don’t decide things beforehand,” Vijay Sethupathi adds. He is awaiting the release of Mellisai and Idam Porul Yaeval. He will also begin cop action thriller Sethupathi with director Arun Kumar soon.
