Vijay Deverakonda to play Samantha’s love interest in Savitri biopic

Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda who made heads turn with his role in the blockbuster rom-com Pellichoopulu has been roped in to play the love interest of Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Nadigaiyar Thilagam, the official biopic of yesteryear actress Savitri.

Directed by Nag Ashwin as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Nadigaiyar Thilagam has Keerthy Suresh playing the titular role. Dulquer Salmaan will play the role of Gemini Ganesan in the movie, whose story will be narrated through the eyes of Samantha, who plays a journalist. The movie is expected to go on floors soon.
