Vijay 61 Chennai schedule begins; Samantha starts shooting

After a long Europe schedule, the makers of Vijay 61 have commenced the next leg of shooting in Chennai since yesterday. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has joined the team and started shooting her portions in the city.

Comedians Yogi Babu and Sathyan have also joined the schedule. It must be noted that veteran comedian Vadivelu was part of the Europe schedule. The team celebrated producer Murali Ramasamy’s birthday on sets yesterday. Directed by Atlee, Thalapathy 61 is bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films. AR Rahman composes music for the film, which also features Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen as female leads.
