Vijay 58 titled Maareesan?

The latest buzz in the tinsel town is Vijay’s upcoming film with Chimdudevan is titled Maareesan. Apparently, this title was earlier registered by Chimbudevan for a film which he was supposed to do with Dhanush in 2011. Then, the film was boasted as a swashbuckling adventurous flick and to be produced by UTV Motion Pictures in a budget of 30 crores. Back then, Chimbudevan roped in GV Prakash as the music composer and Kathir as the cinematographer. But, the project, never materialized.

Since reports say Chimbudevan is utilizing the title Maareesan for Vijay’s next, this news raises a pertinent question – Is Chimbudevan making the same script he narrated to Dhanush three years ago? It is yet to be seen. Starring Vijay, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani in lead roles, Maareesan also features Sridevi Boney Kapoor and Sudeep of Naan Ee fame in lead roles. It has music by Devi Sri Prasad and Natty cranks the camera.
