Director Venky Atluri has shared fresh insights about Vishwanath And Sons, praised Suriya's dedication to the film and revealed that Lucky Baskhar 2 will only begin after he completes two more projects.

Director Venky Atluri has shared fresh insights into his upcoming film Vishwanath And Sons, starring Suriya, while also opening up about his future directorial plans, including the much-awaited Lucky Baskhar 2. Speaking during a recent interaction, the filmmaker reflected on his experience of working with Suriya, the emotional core of Vishwanath And Sons, and why fans will have to wait a little longer for the sequel to Lucky Baskhar.

Describing Vishwanath And Sons as a film that celebrates relationships and emotions, Venky Atluri said every director dreams of collaborating with Suriya, and he was no different. He added that he has always held the actor in high regard and praised his professionalism throughout the making of the film. According to the director, Suriya put his complete effort into the project and remained fully committed from start to finish. Venky also revealed that the actor recently watched the final version of the film and is highly confident about its theatrical success. Vishwanath And Sons is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14th.

During the interaction, Venky Atluri also addressed the status of Lucky Baskhar 2, one of the most anticipated sequels. He confirmed that the project is definitely happening but clarified that it will not begin immediately. The filmmaker explained that he has already committed to two other films, which he intends to complete before returning to the world of Lucky Baskhar.

Venky further stated that the sequel carries huge expectations after the success of the first film, making it a major responsibility. Rather than rushing into production, he wants to spend adequate time developing the script and ensuring the sequel matches or surpasses audience expectations. He believes another two years will allow him to shape the project in the best possible way before taking it on floors.

Sharing details about his upcoming slate, the director confirmed that one of his next films is likely to be a cop drama, a genre he had hinted at earlier. Alongside that, he is also working on a children’s film that he hopes will appeal to audiences of all ages. Venky noted that there are very few proper children’s films being made today, and he wants to create a wholesome family entertainer inspired by the spirit of classic Disney adventures and films like Home Alone. He revealed that the script for the project is currently being written.

With Vishwanath And Sons gearing up for its theatrical release on August 14, Venky Atluri has an exciting lineup ahead. While audiences can look forward to his emotional drama with Suriya in the immediate future, the director has also assured fans that Lucky Baskhar 2 remains firmly on the cards, even if it takes a little longer to reach the big screen.
