TN ministers seeks removal of controversial scenes from Sarkar

After Mersal created a huge furor in the national media, thanks to the opposition of BJP members, now Sarkar has faced the ire of Tamil Nadu ministers like Kadambur Raju, and CV Shanmugam.

Kadambur Raju, Information and Broadcasting Minister, said, “We have received information that there is a scene where people throw away free mixer, grinder given by the government in the film. It’s very offensive and demeaning. Vijay is a growing actor and I would like the removal of these controversial scenes in the film.”

Minister CV Shanmugam said the government is contemplating to file a case on Sarkar, the film’s director AR Murugadoss, producer Sun Pictures, actor Vijay and also the theaters which screen the film.
