TN Governor Banwarilal Purohit to inaugurate ‘Ilaiyaraaja 75’

The preparations for the grand occasion of Padma Vibhushan Isaignani Ilayaraja’s Ilaiyaraaja 75 that marks the 75th birthday of the Maestro is happening in full swing. Superstar Rajnikanth and Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Hassan have already affirmed their presence for the two-day-long event on February 2nd and 3rd.

Now, TFPC President Vishal, General Sectaries Kathiresan and SS Durairaj have personally met and invited the honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu Shri. Banwarilal Purohit at Raj Bhavan and requested him to inaugurate the event on February 2. The Governor has accepted to grace over the occasion to inaugurate the event by lighting the traditional Kuthu Vizhakku, confirmed an official statement.

Apart from inaugurating the event, the honourable Governor will also be releasing the special edition book “Ilaiyaraaja 75”. Artists, playback singers and many technicians and others from the industry will amuse and entertain the crowds on February 2, where they will be honouring the legendary Padma Vibhushan Ilayaraja. On February 3, Isaignani ilayaraja will be performing live along with his orchestral group.
