Thulasi Nair is upbeat about Yaan

Thulasi Nair, who essays the role of a 23-year-old daughter of an ex-army officer in Yaan, is quite upbeat about the film. Yaan marks ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran’s debut as a director and features Jiiva in the lead role. The film has been in the production stage for two years and is finally set for release on October 2nd for the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. “I know two years is a long time. But then, people would definitely understand that it’s worth waiting for something good to happen. Yaan has it all – comedy, suspense, romance, action with a brilliant screenplay,” says Thulasi Nair to a daily.

Thulasi Nair plays a matured and modern girl in the film. “My characterisation is unique and the film gave me plenty of scope to perform,” says Thulasi. She also says that Jiiva is sincere in whatever he does and has always been very helpful on the sets. Yaan will clash with Kannan’s Oru Oorla Rendu Raja and a few small-budgeted films on October 2nd at the box-office.
