Tamizharasan Pachamuthu hints at collaboration with Dhanush for his next film

Following his debut with Lubber Pandhu, director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu is gearing up for his second feature. Though an official announcement is yet to be made, sources confirmed that it will be starring Dhanush. In a recent conversation, the filmmaker confirmed that he is indeed working with a leading star, and subtly implied that the script was written with that actor in mind.

Tamizharasan revealed that the story for his upcoming film began to take shape only after meeting the actor. “It’s a script tailored for him,” he said, careful not to name Dhanush directly. “I’m not overthinking the writing process, but I do keep in mind that the fans are our key audience. The film must strike a chord with them, while also engaging the general viewer.”

Reflecting on lessons from his debut, the director admitted to certain shortcomings in Lubber Pandhu. “This time, I’m consciously addressing those areas and working harder than before,” he said. While not feeling overwhelmed by pressure, Tamizharasan acknowledged the rising expectations for his sophomore effort. “With the appreciation my first film received, there’s definitely a higher bar. I’m committed to meeting it.”
