Tamil remake rights for Charlie secured

Malayalam superhit film Charlie, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy, is all set to be remade into Tamil. The official remake rights have been acquired by Prateek Chakravorty, grandson of late producer-director Pramod Chakravorty, under the banner Pramod Films. 

Joining Prateek as co-producer will be Shruti Nallappa, who confirmed the news on her Twitter page. The team is yet to zero in on the final cast and crew. It will be announced soon. Interestingly, Charlie completed its 50-day theatrical run yesterday in Chennai’s Mayajaal Cinemas.
