Tamil Nadu State Film Awards to be revived soon: J. Jayalalitha

Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha has confirmed that the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards will be revived and a grand award function will be organised soon to recognise the film personalities and technicians. The state film awards had been handed out till 2008 before it became defunct.

Now, the news has come as a good surprise to the film fraternity. The official announcement on the awards will be made by the State Information and Broadcasting ministry soon. Nadigar Sangam head Nassar has also confirmed that CM will soon lay the foundation stone for the new building in T. Nagar.
