Suriya objects to ‘Saravanan Engira Suriya’

Saravanan Engira Suriya is an upcoming film directed by Raja Subbaiah and he also plays the lead role in the film. The story deals about a man who aspires to be as charming as Suriya. The film which is read for release is facing a trouble from actor Surya, who has apparently filed a complaint against Raja in Nadigar Sangam. Recently, Producers’ Council or Directors’ Guild insisted that while using the names of famous actors or actresses, the crew should get an NOC from the respective person.

Surya’s spokesperson has said that people would associate the story of the film with Surya since the actor’s real name is also Saravanan. They filed an objection to Nadigar Sangam stating that the film’s title is to gain mileage and publicity. Meanwhile, Raja is hellbent on the title and says the entire film is written around it. Changing the title would be detrimental to his project, he insists. We hope the issue gets resolved soon.
