Stalemate between film associations & TN government continues

The stalemate between film associations and Tamil Nadu government continues. For the second day, all theaters across the state will be shut down since there is no proper solution for the double taxation yet.

Members of Tamil Film Producers’ Council, Theater Union, and FEFSI called on TN Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy yesterday and put forth their demands. Sources say the government is not willing to completely waive the entertainment tax of 30%. The industry believes an amicable solution will be obtained today.
