Shruti Haasan and Anirudh on board Thala 56
The latest update on Thala 56 is Shruti Haasan has been signed as the lead heroine. Anirudh Ravichander, who has been the frontrunner for the music composer, has also been confirmed as the music composer, informs our source. An official confirmation is expected from the team very soon.
Directed by Siva of Veeram fame, the film also has Santhanam playing Ajith’s sidekick to provide comic relief. The team has zeroed in Kolkatta as one of the primary locations to shoot some significant portions of the story. Produced by AM Rathnam, the pooja for the film is likely to be held on Tamil New Year day next month.
