Samuthirakani’s Kitna is an adaptation of Tamil novel ‘Keethari’

The first look posters of Samuthirakani’s Kitna released today reveal that the film is an intense, rustic rural-based subject. Now, the latest news is Kitna is an adaptation of Tamil novel Keethari written by Thamizhselvi. The book is about goat-rearers who live in extreme poverty and passionately love their shepherds. Keethari was a widely celebrated novel in Tamil literature and this news has grabbed everyone’s attention now on Kitna. 

Kitna will be released as two versions, one for the ardent movie buffs and the other version for the general audience. The first version of the film will be two hours and 15 minutes long and the second version, which Samuthirakani is planning to send to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, will be around three hours. While Dhansika plays the female lead in all the four languages the film is to be made, Samuthirakani will play the lead role in Tamil and Malayalam. Saattai fame Mahima plays Samuthirakani’s daughter in the film.
