Samuthirakani wants to send ‘Kitna’ to the Cannes Film Festival

Actor-director Samuthirakani’s next directorial Kitna will be released as two versions, one for the ardent movie buffs and the other version for the general audience. The first version of the film will be two hours and 15 minutes long and the second version, which Samuthirakani is planning to send to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, will be around three hours. Both versions will be released in the state as well. “When we release the film, one third of the centres will have the second version while two-thirds will have the first version,” says Samuthirakani to a daily.

The film will be made in all four south Indian languages and Dhansika will play the female lead in all versions. While Samuthirakani will play the lead role in Tamil and Malayalam, Kishore will play the lead role in Kannada. Samuthirakani is on the lookout for someone to play the lead role in Telugu.
