Rajinikanth’s Lifetime Achievement Award is delayed by 43 years: Kamal Haasan

Speaking at the new office inauguration of Raaj Kamal Films International in Chennai, Kamal Haasan said, “Rajinikanth and I never listen to gossip mongers at all. We deal our issues directly over a phone call.”

Talking about IFFI’s recognition of Lifetime Achievement Award for Rajinikanth, Haasan said, “Rajinikanth was a star in the first year of his entry into cinema. IFFI’s recognition is delayed by 43 years.”

Commemorating 60 years of Kamal Haasan in the film industry, the statue of his mentor K Balachander was unveiled today at his office in Chennai. Mani Ratnam, Vairamuthu, Ramesh Aravind, Santhana Bharathi, Nasser, and KS Ravikumar were some of the guests at the event.
