Rajinikanth’s interest in Naan Sigappu Manithan

Looks like the narcoleptic character Vishal plays in Naan Sigappu Manithan has kindled the interest of Superstar Rajinikanth. After listening to the basic premise of the film, Superstar has expressed his willingness to read the script of NSM. Narcolepsy is a neurological sleep disorder which makes it difficult for people to stay awake for long periods of time. NSM is the first movie in Tamil cinema that portrays Narcolepsy.

However, Narcolepsy as a concept evolved decades back in Hollywood in films like Moulin Rouge, My Own Private Idaho and also in a French film called Narco. Thanks to Director Thiru for introducing this concept to Tamil cinema fans and attempting something new on screen. Naan Sigappu Manithan is produced by UTV Motion Pictures and has Lakshmi Menon playing the love interest of Vishal. It is slated for a release on April 11.
