Rajinikanth to be conferred with Padma Vibhushan?
Ahead of the official announcement from the government of India regarding the Padma Awardees list, speculations are rife that Rajinikanth will be conferred with Padma Vibhushan, India’s 2nd highest civilian honor. The official list will be announced on January 25th, on the eve of the Republic Day.
“The names appearing in media about Padma Awards-2015 are speculative and there is no official confirmation for the same,” posted Press and Information Bureau of India on its micro-blogging page.
Other names being speculated include carnatic vocalist Sudha Raghunathan, Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, lyricist-ad filmmaker Prasoon Joshi.
