After making a sure-footed debut in the kids drama Poovarasam Pee Pee, director Halitha Shameem has started her next project titled Minmini, which deals about friendship and sacrifice and is centered on the lives of teenagers. “We’ve hardly had any films in the young adult genre. This is a friendship-based film based on survivor’s guilt,” says Halitha who has recently completed a week-long schedule in Ooty.
Jointly produced by popular cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and Abhinandan Ramanujam, Minmini is being made as a proper Tamil-Malayalam bi-lingual and features child actors Gaurav Kalai, Pravin Kishore and Esther Anil in the lead roles. Madras fame Harikrishnan will also be seen in an important role.
