Ponniyin Selvan registers highest working day collection in TN

According to the trade units, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1 has registed the highest working day number for a Tamil film in TN on Monday (Oct 3rd), where it has grossed close to 16.5 crores at the box office. This is indeed a phenomenal hold for the film, as no other film in industry has showcased this kind of a pull and demand on a Monday.

Ponniyin Selvan had early morning shows which ran houseful on Monday itself, and many theatres had also scheduled round the clock shows for the holidays which are now being enjoyed. Ponniyin Selvan is on its way to break through Vikram’s numbers in TN, and emerge the new industry hit in a couple of weeks.

Also, it is said that the film has grossed 100Cr in TN alone at the end of Tuesday (Oct 4th).
