Official: Simbu confirms teaming up with Ameer

As we reported earlier, now Simbu has confirmed that he is teaming up with director Ameer for his next film which is said to be a rustic village based actioner. The film will be produced by Arun Kumar of Panniyaarum Padminiyum fame under the banner Magicbox Films. Simbu is currently busy with Selvaraghavan’s Kaan and Gautham Menon’s Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada. 

Director Ameer is known for his original story-telling and as a taskmaster. He has provided breakthroughs for Karthi in ParuthiVeeran, Jiiva in Raam and Suriya in Mounam Pesiyadhe. His last film with Jayam Ravi Aadhi Bhagavan did not fare well at the box office and was panned by the critics too. After a long hiatus, he is making his come back with this yet-untitled flick with Simbu.
