Official: Rajinikanth 159 to be shot across Malaysia, Hong Kong & Thailand

The long-awaited official announcement of Rajinikanth 159 is finally out. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu who gave the popular ‘Superstar’ sobriquet for Rajinikanth for Bhairavi and directed by Pa Ranjith of Attakathi and Madras fame. The female lead and the supporting cast is yet to be finalized.

The film will go on floors in August in Malaysia for 60 days. Then, the team will shoot the next 60 days in Hong Kong, Thailand and Chennai. Billed as a gangster drama, the film’s technical cast comprises of Santhosh Narayanan (Music), Praveen KL (Editing), Murali G (Cinematographer), Ramalingam (Art Director), Ruben (Sound Designer), Sathish (Choreographer) Anbu – Arivu (Stunt masters).
