No mutes or cuts in Mersal Telugu version, confirms CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi

CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi has confirmed that there are no mutes or cuts in Adirindhi, the Telugu version of Mersal starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by Atlee.

“Both the Tamil and Telugu versions are the same. No scenes are chopped. No dialogues are muted in the Telugu version. The reports that are doing rounds are baseless rumours. The CBFC team is working really hard to meet the deadlines of filmmakers,” said Prasoon Joshi.

Prasoon also said that it’s quite unfair to blame the censor board. “It’s very unfair. We have clearly mentioned on our website that the application for the censor certificate should be submitted 68 days prior to release. Still, we work round the clock to complete the formalities beforehand,” he added.

The makers of the film will soon announce an official release date for the Telugu version.
