National award-winning art director Thotta Tharani on board Maniratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan
National award-winning art director Thotta Tharani, who has worked with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam in films such as Nayagan, and Thalapathy, has been roped in for Ponniyin Selvan.
Ratnam associated with popular production designer Sharmistha Roy for his recent films such as Oh Kadhal Kanmani, and Kaatru Veliyidai.
We had recently reported that lyricist Vairamuthu has also come on board for the project and will pen 12 songs in the movie, which will have music composed by AR Rahman.
Chiyaan Vikram, Nayanthara, Anushka Shetty, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Keerthy Suresh, and Aishwarya Rai play significant roles in the film, which will have music composed by AR Rahman. Ponniyin Selvan, bankrolled by Lyca, is expected to kickstart towards the end of the year.
