Nagabandham promises a blend of adventure, mythology, and spirituality, with the team expressing strong confidence in its theatrical success.

With its theatrical release fast approaching, the team of Nagabandham interacted with the media at a press meet held in Chennai on Monday. The film, which is scheduled to release on July 3 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada, is being positioned as a large-scale cinematic spectacle rooted in Indian culture and mythology.

Several prominent personalities from the film industry attended the event and expressed confidence in the film’s prospects.

Veteran producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu highlighted the audience’s long-standing fascination with stories involving serpentine mythology. Recalling the success of an older film titled Amuthavalli, he noted that films featuring such themes have traditionally connected well with viewers. Thanu expressed his belief that Nagabandham carries a similar appeal and has all the ingredients to emerge as a successful venture at the box office.

Producer A.M. Rathnam spoke about the changing landscape of theatrical exhibition. While acknowledging that technological advancements have altered audience viewing habits, he emphasized that visually grand films continue to draw people back to cinemas. Rathnam said the title Nagabandham reminded him of the mysteries surrounding the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple and its hidden treasures. Although he admitted he was unaware of the film’s story, he expressed confidence that the project would resonate with audiences and wished the team success.

Actor Ajay Rathnam praised filmmaker Abhishek Nama’s journey in the industry. He pointed out that Nama began his career as a distributor before becoming a producer and eventually stepping into direction. According to Ajay Rathnam, this experience has helped shape Nagabandham into a technically strong project. He also commended the lead actor’s performance and expressed confidence that the film would be well received.

Actor Kalabhavan Shajohn, popularly known among Tamil audiences for his performances in several notable films, described Nagabandham as a visually rich cinematic experience. He noted that while audiences have seen numerous historical and fantasy films over the years, this project stands apart due to its scale and visual grandeur. He encouraged moviegoers to experience the film on the big screen.

Distributor Siva Prasad of Padimi Cinemas echoed similar sentiments. He praised the film’s production values and said every frame reflects the effort invested by the cast and crew. He expressed confidence that the film would entertain audiences and emerge as a commercial success.

Actress Nabha Natesh thanked industry veterans A.M. Rathnam and Kalaipuli S. Thanu for their support and blessings. She described Nagabandham as more than just a film, calling it a cinematic experience built on ambitious visuals and passionate teamwork. She urged audiences to watch the film in theatres and witness its scale firsthand.

Lead actor Virat Karrna spoke about the spiritual dimension of the film. He observed that many families today are encouraging younger generations to embrace spirituality and cultural values. According to the actor, working on Nagabandham became a deeply personal and transformative experience. He stated that the film draws heavily from India’s traditions, temple heritage, and cultural roots, themes that he believes will strike a chord with audiences across the country.

Directed by Abhishek Nama, Nagabandham promises a blend of mythology, adventure, spirituality, and visual spectacle. With the film set for a pan-Indian release on July 3, the team remains confident that its grand scale and culturally rooted narrative will attract audiences to theatres.
