Mysskin is unaffected by rules: Lakshmy Ramakrishnan

Actor-filmmaker Lakshmy Ramakrishanan has wrapped up the shooting of her upcoming film Nerungi Vaa… Muthamidathe. Before wielding the megaphone for her critically-acclaimed debut Aarohanam, she was essaying supporting roles (mostly, mother roles) in films including Yudham Sei, Boss Engira Baskaran etc. She has not been to any film school but was influenced a lot by Mysskin’s film-making style. “I love his approach to film-making. He is unaffected by rules. Perhaps influenced by him, I find that when I want a particular shot, I get it, regardless of what the books say,” explains Lakshmy to a daily.

Nerungi Vaa… Muthamidathe has Shabeer, Piaa Bajpai and Shruthi Hariharan in lead roles. Thambi Ramaiah, Y Gee Mahendran, Ambika, A L Alagappan and Thalaivasal Vijay play important characters in the film. Produced by AVA productions, it is slated to release in September. The film is about a series of incidents that happen on a single day of a petrol crisis, stories seen by the protagonist while driving in a lorry, reveals Lakshmy Ramakrishnan.
