“Maari is a classy commercial entertainer”

Speaking at the audio launch of Sarathkumar’s Sandamarutham, director Balaji Mohan of Kaadhalali Sodhapuvadhu Eppadi and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum fame said Maari is a classy commercial entertainer. Balaji Mohan also revealed that he’s asked by Dhanush to not divulge any details about the film since it’s too early to talk. Maari stars Dhanush and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles for the first time. Dhanush essays the role of a tailor and the story is said to be set in Chennai backdrop.

Produced by Raadhika Sarathkumar’s Magic Frames in collaboration with Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, Maari has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is touted to be a quickie and is likely to be wrapped up real soon. Om Prakash of Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame cranks the camera.
