Lyricist Thamarai requests Vijay Sethupathi to opt out of Muthaiah Muralitharan biopic 800
Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has received flak for signing to play the lead role as Muthaiah Muralitharan in his official biopic, titled 800. Now, lyricist Thamarai has requested Sethupathi to opt out of the film.
The social media is abuzz with requests from users asking Vijay Sethupathi to quit the project saying that Muralitharan is a staunch supporter of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse, who played a crucial role in the genocide of Tamils in the region.
