“Lyca is ready to bankroll Marudhanayagam,” confirms Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan has revealed that Lyca Productions is more than willing to kickstart Marudhanayagam anytime in his recent interview to a Tamil magazine. “Marudhanayagam involves extensive pre-production work. We don’t want to revive it without a proper strategy just because Subaskaran is ready to produce the film. It will take more than a year to finish the film even if I start now. So, Lyca and I are collaborating for a different project now,” said Kamal Haasan.

Lyca will co-produce Kamal Haasan’s next yet-untitled project with Raaj Kamal Films International. Directed by malayalam film-maker TK Rajeev Kumar, it also has Shruti Haasan playing Kamal’s daughter. Ramya Krishnan is in talks to play Kamal’s wife in the movie. The shooting will kickstart from April.
