Producer Kathiresan is a happy man now. His Jigarthanda has been celebrated by people across the spectrum and additional theaters have been added across the state. Riding on the success of the film, the producer has bagged the remake rights of the blockbuster Rajinikanth film Moondru Mugam, which had superstar in three different avatars. Kathiresan has bought the remake rights for the coveted film for a whopping sum from its makers, Sathya Movies.
“It’s been my cherished dream to remake Rajini sir’s mass hero subject Moondru Mugam and I waited for the right time for it to happen,” says an elated Kathiresan to a daily. He has not approached any director or actor yet. “It is a mass hero film and any big hero like Vijay, Ajith or Karthi can handle it,” says Kathiresan.
