Karthik Subbaraj alongside Rajinikanth & Kamal Haasan in Top 10 Influential People List

Karthik Subbaraj has been ranked as number fifth in India Today’s Top 10 Influential People and Achievers list. The interesting fact is that Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan occupy the first and third place respectively in the list. The other two ranks, second and fourth, are occupied by social activist Traffic Ramasamy and journalist Malini Parthasarathy, the editor of The Hindu.

“Karthik Subbaraj has been the leader of new wave Tamil cinema. His Pizza heralded a new beginning for horror genre in 2012. His Jigarthanda is one of the superhit films to have released this year. Its a path-breaking film in terms of content, screenplay and the making. He has also started a new venture (Stone Bench) to help promote short films and independent films for aspiring filmmakers,” says India Today.

It also reveals that Karthik’s next film Iraivi is a women-centric film which will be produced by CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment.
