Karthi in talks for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan?
Reports are rife in K’town that Karthi is currently in talks for director Mani Ratnam’s yet-untitled feature based on the epic Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan. Earlier, Vijay Sethupathi was approached for this particular role, but sources say he has opted out of the film due to prior commitments.
Jayam Ravi, Vikram, and STR are the other names doing rounds for this big multi-starrer. Lyca Productions is likely to produce the film like Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. More details on the project are awaited.
