Kangana to announce the ‘Queen’ soon

The speculations are rife in K’town with a lot of names being discussed in hushed whispers on who plays the titular role in the Tamil remake of Queen. Trisha’s mom confirmed a week back that Trisha was indeed approached for the project. Other names that are being tossed around include Shruti Haasan and Anushka. The official announcement is expected soon and Kangana Ranaut will announce the ‘Queen’ of the South in a press meet.

“Yes, when the official announcement is made, Kangana Ranaut will crown the ‘queen’ herself. It is most likely to happen in the next couple of weeks,” confirms Thiagarajan who has purchased the remake rights for all the four languages in the South. Pester him on who plays the Queen, “We are considering many names. Whoever has the appropriate dates to allot to the film will be finalized. That is all I can reveal now,” says Thiagarajan politely.
